WELCOME TO THE NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP WEBSITE

 North Strabane Township is located in northern Washington County, approximately 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.  The Township is home to approximately 12,000 residents and is 27 square miles in area.  The predominance of development in the Township is residential in nature with nearly 50% of all land use classified as agricultural in character.

North Strabane Township is part of the Canon-McMillan School District with an enrollment of 4,323 students.  Residents are provided with a variety of municipal services inclusive of police, fire, public works, planning, code enforcement, library and recreation.  Township taxes are low and have not increased in ten years. The majority of the community’s population lives within close proximity to major transportation corridors (I-79, I-70, Route 19) that provide convenient access to the Pittsburgh metropolitan area in 20 minutes.
